Abstract

With the rapid increase in the negative effects of environmental problems such as climate change and global warming, which are caused by the unconscious consumption of natural resources throughout the world, the scope of the concept of sustainable development has expanded, affecting the construction projects, causing the concept of 'green building' to be born. With the implementation of the green building concept in the field of construction, green building certification systems have come to the fore in order to register, encourage and disseminate the environmentally sensitive, sustainable and nature-friendly features of the built buildings. Green building design concept and certification processes, unlike traditional project management processes, have formed green buildings project management processes, which are shaped by an integrated design approach.

In this study, first of all, the concept of green building is examined within the scope of green construction projects and the concept of green building is mentioned. Afterwards, project management and project management processes were explained and green building project processes were evaluated. Finally, the traditional project management and green building project management processes were compared and the differences between them were revealed.
