In a world that develops and changes every day, it is well known that it does not take centuries to open and close an era as it did in the past. In this context, smart cities have emerged as a combination of innovative urban planning approaches and technology-based solutions. In this time when technology is rapidly evolving, the change of cities integrated into smart city applications is inevitable.
In the Tekin Smart City Index model proposed in the study, 22 cities, 16 main components and 50 sub-criteria were used. Expert opinions were taken in the field and the importance weights of the criteria were calculated with the FUCOM method, one of the CRM methods, by making use of the literature. When the stage of ranking the alternatives was started by using the calculated criteria weights, TOPSIS, VIKOR, ARAS, MABAC, EDAS and COPRAS methods were used to analyze the smart city performances of 22 cities under 16 main criteria and 50 sub-criteria. The results obtained were included in the ranking again with the modeled Tekin Smart City Index and performance evaluation was made.
