Abstract

Turkey is one of the most high-risk regions in the world that has several major faults. For this reason, an earthquake standard has always been needed since long time ago, even a disaster plan has been used by the Ottoman government. Turkey Building Earthquake Code is the newest one which has been given to the concepts found in previous standards in 2018. In this study according to Turkey seismic hazard map, the behavior of the acceleration response spectrum in different types of site classifications on different PGA has been investigated. In order to analyze the results more accurately, the behavior of the acceleration response spectrum is studied in three short, medium and long period ranges.
