ESTIMATING THE FREE PRESSURE STRENGTH OF COHESIOUS SOIL AT DIFFERENT COMPACTION ENERGIES
Keywords:

In today's conditions, the shear strength of soils plays an important role in the calculation of geotechnical designs. Homogeneous or heterogeneous distribution of soil particles in different settlements of the structures and the behavior of cohesive soil by applying different compaction energies were investigated. In the unconfined pressure test, the study was carried out on the cohesive soil by applying static and dynamic compression. There is a relationship between dry density and shear strength. Static compression has emerged as a new method to bridge the gap between our field and laboratory. While achieving high dry density in static compression, the applied energy is less than in dynamics. As will be seen in the results, there is an increasing relationship between the highest dry density and shear strength.
